MY STORY
My name is Nakhari Quinn and I’m from Atlanta, Georgia I am a committed, determined, and resilient learner, I have a desire to be immersed in the fashion industry, and I have a creative and adaptive mind. Growing up, I have always pushed myself to become a better individual everyday through my own passions, like creating, styling, or connecting with people who share the same values as myself. While I do find myself to be skilled with fashion. I have gained a considerable amount of knowledge that has already formed a foundation for me in knowing and creating various projects and ideas that are present in the industry. For instance, when taking my fashion trend course, I created various trend boards and styling boards not only for the class but for personal contentment. With already being introduced to managing and identifying fashion trends in and outside of class. I aspire to be amongst of many things such as a creative director, wardrobe stylist, and a costume designer. I have worked on set of a student’s short film as the costumer designer and I will be displaying my creativity in this years LSU Spring Fashion Show as stylist for a specific store.

When I was younger, I would’ve recieved an abundance of compliments on my style. That is when I realized I was into clothes. I use clothes as self expression and a representation of me. Clothes are my security blanket in a sense that I do not view them as items, they hold a deeper meaning to me. They create a statement and set a tone instead of the physically speaking.
What am I doing right now: When I was junior in high school, I knew I had to get serious about college and my life goals. Even though I knew fashion & clothes became my only passion, I felt that I needed to create a more serious career goal for myself. So I stuck with architecture for one semester until I came to a realization that fashion is my only passion in life.

Receiving an internship to gain more fashion experience will benefit my life long goal with being more in the fashion scene and networking with others who can guide me to the proper directions. Working with others who have the same goals and aspiration as I will consolidate me in the industry to try harder to achieve my goals.
